Here's how we spent part of Sunday afternoon.

Last weeks at home

We have spent much time this summer visiting with family members before we leave for Slovakia. In May, Phil's brother Ted and his wife Marty joined us for a trip to the Carolinas, where we visited Asheville NC and Charleston SC and spent time with Karin, Brian and Caroline in Charlotte NC.

In July, Sue's Mom and sister, Krista, visited with us just in time to celebrate Caroline's and Sam's birthdays. Phil went to Colorado, giving a paper and visiting with Marty, Ted and their son Brad as well as Ft. Collins friends.

Last weekend was the culmination of the summer with a gathering of our immediate family - Karin, Brian, and Caroline; Kristen, Dave, Annie, Gabby, Sophie, and Sam, along with Phil's sister Kathy and her son and daughter, Jason and Sara; and Dave's mother, JoDeanne. We had a wonderful weekend of fun with the grandkids. They especially enjoyed the rides at our local "Coney Island" amusement park.

The last week has been spent packing - a year's worth of clothes for all seasons in four suitcases plus two carryon bags - decisions, decisions!
